Gondwana National Choral School – Sydney, NSW
In 2010, Gondwana National Choral School will be held at The Women’s College, Sydney, NSW. During this exciting residential season of rehearsals, workshops and performances choristers will have the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s foremost choral conductors. The 2010 special project will be a collaboration with Australia’s premier percussion ensemble, Synergy Percussion.

Cost includes accommodation & meals on campus, sightseeing, ground transfers, t-shirt, music & tuition. Please note that return transport from each chorister’s home to Sydney airport at the beginning and end of the season and travel insurance are not included.
Over 18 Non-Residential Participants
In 2010 choristers over 18 years of age will have the option to be non-residential participants in National Choral School. This will give older choristers greater flexibility to plan their own accommodation and meal arrangements but still be part of the National Choral School experience.
Cost:
Gondwana Chorale (non-residential): $900 (GST not applicable) Cost includes t-shirt, music & tuition. Please note that meals, all transport and travel insurance are not included.
Financial Assistance:
Gondwana aims to make its programs accessible to all young Australians and has a Bursary Program to provide financial assistance for participation fees and travel costs where possible.
SYDNEY SYMPHONY 2010 SEASON OPENING GALA — SYDNEY Gondwana Voices has been invited to join with Sydney Children’s Choir to perform at the opening of the Sydney Symphony’s 2010 Season in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. The choir, under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy, will join with hundreds of choristers from the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs to perform a large scale choral masterpiece.

OPERA HOUSE CELEBRATION & FESTIVAL OF VOICES TOUR — SYDNEY & HOBART
This season begins in Sydney as the choir prepares for the Opera House Celebration Concert. 2010 marks 21 years since the Sydney Children’s Choir was founded by Lyn Williams OAM. The organisation has now grown to include all the Gondwana Choirs who will join the Sydney Children’s Choir and a special alumni choir for a performance in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Gondwana Voices will then travel to Hobart to participate in the 2010 Festival of Voices as a guest choir.

Cost includes accommodation at the Collaroy Conference Centre in Sydney, meals, ground transfers, Sydney to Hobart flights, music, tuition and tour clothing. Please note that transport from each chorister’s home to Sydney airport at the beginning of the season and transport from Hobart airport to each chorister’s home at the end of the season is not included. Some accommodation during the tour will be homestays with local choirs.
GONDWANA CHORALEOPERA HOUSE CELEBRATION & CHORALFEST — SYDNEY, PORT MACQUARIE
This season begins in Sydney as the choir prepares for the Opera House Celebration Concert. 2010 marks 21 years since the Sydney Children’s Choir was founded by Lyn Williams OAM. The organisation has now grown to include all the Gondwana Choirs who will join the Sydney Children’s Choir and a special alumni choir for a performance in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. Following the Opera House concert Gondwana Chorale will travel to Port Macquarie to take part in the Australian National Choral Association’s Choralfest.

VOICES OF ANGELS — SYDNEY
Every year Sydney Children’s Choir and Gondwana Voices celebrate the festive season with an uplifting concert of traditional Christmas music as well as fresh and fun new sounds of an Australian Christmas. Gondwana Voices will take part in a series of intensive rehearsals in Sydney before performing in two joyous concerts at City Recital Hall Angel Place on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 December.
