2012 will be a year of rewarding and varied performance opportunities for Gondwana national Choirs. Following National Choral School selected choristers will take part in a range of inspiring activities, including:
Gondwana Voices
World Choral Summit – Beijing, China
The international Federation for Choral Music has invited Gondwana Voices to represent the Asia-Pacific region at the 2012 World Choral Summit in Beijing! Only five choirs have been invited to take part in this prestigious event which will be attended by conductors, composers, and publishers from more than 80 countries.
Dates: July 2012
Cost: Gondwana Choirs is still in the process of confirming the cost of this tour which will be subsidised in part by the international federation for Choral Music. This will be a low cost tour for participants. Cost will include meals, ground transfers, music & tuition and travel insurance. Please note that return transport from each chorister’s home to Sydney airport at the beginning and end of the season are not included in this cost.
Voices of Angels – Sydney, NSW
Every year we celebrate the festive season with an uplifting concert of traditional Christmas music combined with the fresh and fun new sounds of an Australian Christmas. Gondwana Voices will take part in a series of intensive rehearsals in Sydney before performing with the Sydney Children’s Choir in two joyous concerts at City recital Hall Angel Place on Wednesday 13 and Friday 15 December.
Cost: $250 (GST not applicable) includes homestay accommodation and meals, ground transfers and music. Please note that return transport from each chorister’s home to Sydney airport at the beginning and end of the season and travel insurance are not included in this cost

Junior Gondwana
Junior Gondwana Camp – Sydney, NSW
Junior Gondwana Choristers have the opportunity to take part in an exciting weekend camp with 100 choristers from the Sydney Children’s Choir. The camp will include rehearsals and multi-artform workshops providing the perfect mid-year boost for any chorister craving more of the ‘Gondwana’ experience.
Dates: 8-11 June 2012
Venue: Naamaroo Conference Centre, Lane Cove, Sydney
Cost: $500 (GST not applicable) includes accommodation & full board at the Naamaroo Conference Centre, ground transfers, music & tuition. Please note that return transport from each chorister’s home to Sydney airport at the beginning and end of the season and travel insurance are not included in this cost.
Singfest 2012 – Cairns, QLD
In 2012 Gondwana Singers will host the annual Singfest in Cairns! Singfest brings together young singers from around Cairns and across Australia for a week of high intensity workshops and rehearsals culminating in a thrilling performance.
Dates: 1-10 September 2012
Cost: $1,125 (GST not applicable) includes homestay accommodation in Cairns, sightseeing, meals, ground transfers & music. Please note that transport from each chorister’s home to Cairns airport at the beginning and end of the season and travel insurance are not included in this cost.
Gondwana Chorale
Four Winds Festival Tour – Bermagui, NSW
in 2012 Gondwana Chorale has been invited to take part in the four Winds festival, a biennial festival of classical, cultural and world music. This prestigious festival has hosted some of the world’s finest musicians and is held in a bushland park amphitheatre amidst the wild beauty of the Sapphire Coast. 2012 marks the festival’s 20th year and to celebrate, the festival’s Artistic Director, recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey, has extended a special invitation to Gondwana Chorale.
