Junior Gondwana is for young people aged 10 - 13, who love singing and show strong musical potential. For many young singers, Junior Gondwana is the start of a lifelong musical journey. In 2012 the choir conducted by Elizabeth Vierboom and Harley Mead.
Gondwana Voices, Australia’s renowned children’s choir and the first of our national choirs, is for treble singers aged 10 - 16. Formed in 1997, Gondwana Voices performs with Australia’s leading music ensembles (such as the Australian Chamber Orchestra), represents Australia on international tours (such as the 2011 USA and Canada tour), performs at major national events and records for ABC Classics. In 2012 Gondwana Voices is conducted by Artistic Director Lyn Williams and Principal Guest Conductor Mark O’Leary.
Gondwana Singers is an exciting young SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) choir which caters for singers aged 14 - 16, including boys with changed/changing voices as well as treble voices. Members of Gondwana Singers made a tremendous impact in 2011, with performances at the Pemulwuy National Male Voice Festival and the Festival of Voices in Hobart. In 2012 Gondwana Singers is conducted by Gondwana Choirs International Ambassador Stephen Leek and Dan Walker, with Assistant Conductor Sam Allchurch.
Gondwana Chorale, our vibrant national youth choir, is an SATB ensemble for singers aged 17 - 25. With a reputation as one of Australia’s finest young choirs, Gondwana Chorale comprises young adult singers from across Australia in a truly national ensemble. In 2012 Gondwana Chorale is conducted by Principal Guest Conductor Paul Holley and head of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium Carl Crossin OAM.
